Saturday, April 8, 2006:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Tony Novak of Karnack; Jerry Alexander of Longview; Thomas Rainwater of Jefferson; Jack & Elizabeth Murphy of Jefferson; Jimmy Liles of Linden; plus a group from Panola College:

Weather Conditions:  Partly cloudy with a strong breeze from the north.  The morning low temperature was 52Ί F and the afternoon high was 74Ί F.
 

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14).

 

Time:  We began putting up nets at 7:25 a.m. and had them closed by 5:00 p.m.
