Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, April 20, 2013:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Daniel Weaver -- Longview; Phyllis Wilson -- Longview; Ron & Carolyn Bova -- Quitman; Charles Steger -- Atlanta, Texas.


Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 35º F and the afternoon high was 70º F.  The sky was clear to partly cloudy.  Winds were calm in the morning and breezy late in the day, from the southeast.


Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)

 

Time:  We began putting up the nets at 8:50 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:55 p.m.
