Saturday, December 11, 2010:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Cynthia Hellen and her daughter Sadie of Longview; Ron & Carolyn Bova of Quitman; Richard Pruitt of Dallas; Paul Tidwell of Jefferson; Beth Honea and her son, Nat of DeBerry; Karen Morris and daughter Katherine of Jefferson.


Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was about 56 F and the afternoon high was about 68 F.  The morning was heavily cloudy with wind from the southwest, and at noon a cold front pushed through and the wind switch from the northwest.  By late afternoon the sky was clear.

Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)


Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:00 p.m.
