Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Monday, December 29, 2014:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Phyllis Wilson of Longview; Ron Munden of Marshall; Dan Anderson of Marshall; and Desiree Bennett of Longview. 

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 39 F and the afternoon high was 43 F The sky was heavily overcast, with occasional mist and no wind.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:00 a.m. and all nets were closed by 3:50 pm.
