Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

December 5 & 19, 2015

 

 


 

 

Saturday, December 5, 2015:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Keith & Lorraine Cherry -- Atlanta, Texas; Vicki Gilliland -- Jefferson; Reginald Harrison -- Atlanta, Texas; Beth Honea, and son, Nat -- DeBerry, Texas; Ron Munden -- Marshall; Carol Pace -- Marshall;  Carol Scott -- Austin; Mark & Elizabeth Shepperd -- Karnack; Charles Steger -- Atlanta, Texas; Kay Watson -- Linden; Mike Weber -- Jefferson; Phyllis Wilson -- Longview; Pete & Jill Wright -- Marshall.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 29 F and the afternoon high was 54 F with no wind.  The sky was mostly clear with high thin clouds in the afternoon.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.
