Saturday, February 5, 2005:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Dorothy Metzler of Longview, Eric Walsh of Shreveport, Ray and Carole Berry of Atlanta, Bruce and Sandra Tankersley of Marshall, Bob and Peggy Spencer of Marshall, and Joel and Brenda Bruner of Oklahoma City. 

 

Location:  The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 31 F and the afternoon high was 58 F with partly cloudy skies.
 

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14) 

 

Time:  Nets were set up between 9:10 and 10:22 a.m. and were closed by 4:50 p.m.

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 37 F and the afternoon high was 56 F with mostly cloudy skies.
 

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14) 

 

Time:  Nets were set up between 8:20 and 10:12 a.m. and were closed by 6:00 p.m.
