Saturday, February 2, 2008:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Charles A. Steger of Atlanta, Texas;  Jack & Marsha Land of Shreveport; James D. Cole of Plano; Sharon O'Neal of Plano; and Tony Novak of Karnack.  

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 38 F and the afternoon high was 66 F.  Morning skies were sunny with winds from the southwest, and in the afternoon it was partly cloudy and calm.

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:45 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:00 p.m.
