Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, January 25, 2014:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Nadine Pope of Marshall; Sandra Hooker of Marshall; Beth Honea & her son Nat of DeBerry, LA; David McCain of Longview; Phyllis Wilson of Longview; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Shannon Graff of Marshall; Dady Graff of Marshall; Olivia Graff of Marshall; Kevin Perrine of Marshall; Cynthia Hellen of Longview; Karen Morris and her daughter, Katy of Jefferson; Renee Pierce and her daughter, Emma of Jefferson; Madison Clark of Jefferson; David & Edwina Thomas of Longview; Diane Jones of Jonesville. 

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 28 F and the afternoon high was 63 F The sky was clear blue all day with little to no wind.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:00 a.m., and all nets were closed by 5:00 pm.
