Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, January 24, 2015:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Ron Munden of Marshall; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Jennifer Coy and children Chase and Anna of Flower Mound, Texas; Carrie Dee Moore of Texarkana; Trenton Robbins of Texarkana; Madalyn Bradford of Texarkana; John & Susan Horton of Queen City, Texas; Paul Tidwell of Jefferson; Mitch Tidwell of Dallas; Mike Weber of Jefferson

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 27 and the afternoon high was 55 F The sky was clear and sunny in the morning, but high thin clouds appeared in the afternoon, with little to no wind.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:55 a.m., and all nets were closed by 5:15 pm.
