Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, January 23, 2016:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Claire Floyd of Shreveport; Jesse & Billie Bohannon of Vivian, Louisiana; Beth Honea and son, Nathaniel of DeBerry, Texas; Billy Box of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Mike Weber of Jefferson; Dan & Myrna Hoke of Jefferson; Pam Farmer of Mt. Pleasant.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 25 F and the afternoon high was 48 F The sky was clear and sunny with a slight breeze out of the north.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:45 p.m.
