Saturday, March 17, 2012:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Leah and Amy Gay Scottsville; Miguel and Carmen Delgado Marshall; Francisco J. Hernandez Marshall; Allen Meshell Shreveport; Kristin and David Hensley Hurst; Janet Cook Alba; Richard LeTourneau Hallsville; Scott Campbell Longview; Ricky W. Maxey, Scoutmaster Troop 1010 Marshall; Cub Scouts: Diego Herrnandez Marshall, Samuel Delgado Marshall, Michael Pruhtj Marshall; Boy Scouts: Corey Gay Scottsville, Jesse Meshell Waskom.

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 66 F and the afternoon high was 77 F.  The sky was overcast in the morning and it became partly cloudy by mid-afternoon.  It was windy from the south.

Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)


Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:20 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:25 p.m.
