Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, March 22, 2014:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Steve & Susan Sedberry of Karnack; Richard Parsons of Texarkana; Herman Hazard of Karnack; Sue Simmons of Karnack; Ron Munden of Marshall; Karen & Abigail Crumbie of Jefferson; Madison Moreland of Kingwood, TX; Kathy Reiter of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, TX; Anita Walker of Avinger.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 62 F and the afternoon high was 73 F.  It was cloudy most of the day with little to no wind.  


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:45 pm.
