Saturday, May 5, 2007:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Tony Novak of Karnack, Jim & Jan Gensler of Jefferson, and True Mann of Longview.  

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 70º F and the afternoon high was 83º F.  It was mostly cloudy with a breeze from the south.

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:20 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:20 p.m.
