Saturday, May 3, 2008: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Beth Honea & sons Nathaniel & Jacob of DeBerry, Brad Bailey of Jefferson, Ted & Stella Barrow of Jefferson, Sue Simmons of Karnack, Greg Helfenbein of Uncertain, Nancy Coleman of Uncertain, Rosanna Salmon of Waskom, John Thomas Cooper of Jefferson, Carl Turner of Marshall, Cissy McCrary & sons Richard, Robert & J.R. of Marshall; Jack Krudewig of Marshall; Marilyn Welch of Uncertain; Jack & Mary Jane Sanders of Marshall; Jim Lambright of Uncertain; and John Owings of Dallas. 

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 54º F and the afternoon high was 69º F.  The weather was clear and sunny.  It was windy in the morning.

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:45 a.m. and all nets were closed by 6:00 p.m.
