Saturday, May 7, 2011:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Elizabeth Hendrix of Shreveport; Richard Pruitt of Dallas; Carol Pace of Marshall; Daniel Weaver of Longview; Jose Andres Galan of Longview; Brenda Mariel Galan of Longview; Carla Bass of Smithland, Texas;
Michael Weber, Sr. of Jefferson; Mike Weber, Jr. of Jefferson.

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 59 F and the afternoon high was 83 F.  The weather was sunny all day, with a light breeze.

Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)


Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:10 a.m. and all nets were closed by 6:00 p.m.
