Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, May 2, 2015:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Debbie & Mike Roll of Longview; Mike Weber of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Anita Walker of Avinger; Diane Jones of Jonesville; Larry Wayne Schultz of Austin; Matt & Beth Honea and son Nat of DeBerry; Ron & Carolyn Bova of Quitman; Bill Tucker of Dallas. 

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 58º and the afternoon high was 77º F.  The sky was clear and sunny. 


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:30 a.m., and all nets were closed by 4:40 p.m.
