Saturday, October 21, 2006:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Texas; Frank and Donna Lang of Jefferson; Tony Novak of Karnack, Texas; Patricia Aldridge of Abilene, Texas; and Dave Lindo and Ricky Jones of Oklahoma City. 

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 48 F and the afternoon high was 68 F with very little wind.  Skies were cloudy in the morning and clear by mid-afternoon.
 

Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:50 a.m. and all nets were down by 4:30 p.m.

Time:  We started putting up nets at 9:15 a.m. and all nets were down by 3:25 p.m.
