Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, October 27, 2012:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included the host Tom Walker; Sandi Smith and her son Chance of Stanley, Louisiana; Treavor Bynogg of Stanley, LA; Robert Carter of Marshall; Linda Palmer of Rockwall, TX; Liz Hendrix of Shreveport; Charles Gillis of Marshall; Jennifer Coy and her children Chase and Anna of Flower Mound, TX; Anita Walker of Avinger; Bob Rutledge of Bryan Mill, TX; Karen Morris and her daughter Katherine of Jefferson; Ron & Carolyn Bova of Quitman; and Charles Steger of Atlanta, TX.
 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 37 F and the afternoon high was 54 F with a very light breeze from the north.


Number of Nets:  Ten (10)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:00 a.m. and all nets were closed by 3:30 p.m.
